Welcome. This site was built as a creative outlet - a place for me to show my work, think about things, and interact with neighbors. I began the website in earnest during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the impetus for the site came much earlier. At the time, I was living next to JR West train tracks, feeling a bit suffocated by the long winters of the mountain village. I wanted a place to express myself freely, as other parts of the internet can be difficult for me to feel comfortable in. I hope by creating my own virtual space, it will allow me to breath easier, knowing I have full (creative) control, and a relatively anonymous online existence. I really enjoy looking at other people's sites on Neocities. It's refreshing to see such earnest expression online by people all over the world.
My hobbies are: Analog photography, darkroom printing, camera collecting, hiking, trail running, extreme skiing, mountain biking, military history, clothing, fantasizing about opening a gin distillery, taking photos out of airplane windows.
My biggest creative inspirations are: Wim Wenders, Moriyama Daido, Ueda Shoji, Hashiguchi Joji, Oliver Hoblitzville and Ira Glass.
I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I am figuring it out one decade at a time...
Thank you for visiting, dear reader.
